Ghana Medical Mission

The UXBRIDGE GHANA MEDICAL TEAM has been invited, to return to the Northern Ghana Region, by the board of NEA and Dr. David Mensah. The Team provides medical/surgical care to remote villages that do not have access to any medical care. This is the 4th year that the team has gone to provide medical/nursing care, pharmaceuticals, dental and eye care.  The 30 member Canadian team partners with a 14 member surgical team from the UK, to provide comprehensive care and free Hernia surgery to these impoverished farmers and their families. We will be going for two weeks, October 29th to November 13th, 2010.
This year the Canadian team is asking the people of Uxbridge to support this mission by donating old EYEGLASSES, BOTTLES OF TYLENOL AND MULTIVITAMINS. A box is located at the back of the church for donations.
Financial donations of $20.00 or more will receive a tax receipt. Cheques can be made out to The Uxbridge Baptist Church, with Ghana Medical Mission in the memo box and these funds are dedicated to the mission.
Betsy Convery, a member of St. Andrews, will be returning to Ghana again with this team. IF THERE ARE ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE CONTACT BETSY AT (905) 852-3465. For more information on NEA and the project in Ghana go to the www.grid-nea.org website.
